What Is Unique About This Blog?

Hi, and welcome to "U.S. Fiscal Forecast"!

With all the information sources out there, why should you read this blog?

There are, primarily, three reasons why we are unique:

1. We do our own research. We do not just repost what others say. We go straight to the statistical sources, and we apply scholarly and professional expertise to the data before we publish our analysis of it. In other words, everything between the raw data and you, the reader, is value added.

2. We keep it short, simple and to the point. Many commentators like to spread their thoughts out over 800 words or more. We won't do that unless it is really necessary. Our articles will be dense and filled with information, but that is precisely how you add value.

3. We are not afraid to go against the mainstream. We have a record of successful economic predictions, including being the first to forecast 9+ percent inflation when everybody else was still talking about 2-3 percent. That is just one example. If we think the raw data says something that mainstream commentators have misunderstood, we will say so. We always keep it respectful and focus on the issues, but we are not afraid to say it as it is, when appropriate.

In short: we are not an echo chamber. We don't waste your time. We add value.
